Twitter restricts message from Trump accusing fraud

The social network Twitter restricted a message from the president of the United States, Republican Donald Trump, in which he accused his Democratic rival Joe Biden of wanting to “steal” the 2020 elections.

Twitter labeled the president’s message as potentially “misleading” and its content was immediately removed from view.

“Some or all of the content shared on this tweet has been objected to and can be misleading about how to participate in an election or other civic process,” the micro-messaging network’s warning said.

“We have a BIG lead, but they are trying to STOLE the election. We will never let them do that. Votes cannot be cast once the polls close,” the president wrote.

The publication came in response to Senator Biden’s statement, who said he was confident about the election and assured that it would not be over “until every vote is counted.

In a message transmitted by U.S. networks, Trump also proclaimed himself the winner of the U.S. election, although the recount is still in progress.

The current president also said he would take legal action to prevent the counting of votes sent by mail. “Frankly, we won this election,” Trump said.

Trump’s campaign has challenged the fact that in key states, such as Pennsylvania, the recount of mailed ballots will be extended until three days after the November 3 election.

However, local authorities assure that they will consider valid the ballots that have been received and stamped on election day.

Facebook also activates warnings

In the same vein, Facebook revealed that when President Trump declared himself the winner in advance, they activated a notification system for users.

“We began posting notifications on Facebook and Instagram that votes are still being counted and no winner is projected. We also automatically tag both candidates’ posts with this information,” the social network said.
