iPod Nano goes on Apple's obsolete and vintage list

Apple has a golden rule: all its products more than five years old and less than seven years old go to an obsolete and vintage list where the company’s antiques are gathered.

And this 2020 a new device has been added to that select trunk, it is the seventh generation iPod Nano that was manufactured and distributed in 2015.

The first iPod Nano was launched in 2005 and was a hit at the time, as it allowed music to be stored in the pocket in an elegant and functional way.

This 2015 and seventh-generation model had an iPod touch-style multi-touch screen and a home button.

As Macrumors contends, “Apple updated the seventh-generation iPod nano in 2015 to add new colors, but the design remained the same. The iPod nano was discontinued along with the iPod shuffle in mid-2017, leaving the iPod touch as the only iPod sold by Apple.”
