Galaxy S21 would bring bad news in terms of fast charging

Bad news would bring the Galaxy S21 family, Samsung’s next flagship phone, according to specifications that were uncovered after the leak of official documents.

The Galaxy S21 specifications are contained in a report from China’s Quality Certification Center (QCC), a government agency that, as its name suggests, endorses the quality of products sold in the country, whether domestic or imported.

The report mentions a device identified as Samsung’s SM-G9910, which on October 15 passed 3C certification for charging, as revealed by the Rootmygalaxy portal, in information picked up by Unocero.

The device will include 25W fast charging, in addition to an 11 V output at 2.25 A, according to the CCC document.

The Galaxy S21 family is expected to consist of the standard model, a Plus version and an Ultra version. In any case, the report does not clarify which device is certified.

If it is the standard or Plus device, these would maintain the standard set for the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus models, although it is below the 45W offered by the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Nor does the S21’s 25W compare to what other manufacturers are already doing, such as Xiaomi’s 120W, OnePlus’ 65W or Huawei’s 40W.

The certificate of the Chinese regulatory body does not clarify the battery capacity of the Galaxy S21, which in the case of the basic model the S20 range was 4,000 mAh and in the Plus team reached 4,500 mAh.
