Acer revamps its Chromebook lineup for 2021 with 11th generation Intel Core and an increasingly slim design

    Acer today unveiled four new Chromebooks. Lightweight, with good autonomy, robust design and improved internal specifications to offer appropriate performance for this 2021. These are the new Acer Chromebooks: the Spin 514 and Spin 514 and the Chromebook 515 and 514, accompanied by their respective ‘Enterprise’ versions with a more durable finish.

    The first Chromebook are the Spin models, which stand out for their 14-inch screen and convertible design. Inside the Spin 514 model, 11th generation Intel Core processors are offered, ranging from the entry-level i3 model to the powerful i7-1180G7.

    In the case of the Spin 314, simpler processors from the Intel Pentium and Intel Celeron range are chosen. All models offer Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.

    The FullHD IPS display of the Spin 514 achieves a screen-to-body ratio of 84% and a FullHD front camera is incorporated. In terms of sound, Acer incorporates dual speakers and microphones.

    The Spin range is designed in aluminum with a weight that in the top-of-the-range model stands at a light 1.37 kg. Acer additionally offers an ‘Enterprise’ version that is MIL-STD 810H certified.

    The new Chromebooks come with USB Type-C ports, Gorilla Glass protection and backlit keyboard. The Spin 314 model offers a touch panel with 6 mm bezels and a battery life of up to 10 hours.

    In Spain, the new Acer Chromebook Spin 514 will be available in October starting at €799, while the Acer Chromebook Spin 314 model will arrive the same month from €449.

    Its more traditional Chromebook series has also been refreshed. We have the new Chromebook 515 with 15.6-inch FullHD screen and an Acer Chromebook 514 that bets on a lighter design, MediaTek processor and a wide theoretical autonomy of up to 15 hours.

    In the case of the Acer Chromebook 15 we also have inside the new 11th generation Intel Core processors, reaching up to the i7 model. Storage of up to 512 GB and up to 16 GB of RAM are offered.

    Regarding the Acer Chromebook 14, it features a 14-inch panel, an octa-core MediaTek Kompanio 828 processor, up to 8 GB of RAM and a 1.3 kilogram body with a thickness of 16.85 mm.

    The new Acer Chromebook 515 is available in Spain in October from 499 euros, with the ‘Enterprise’ version starting at 799 euros. In the case of the Acer Chromebook 514, its official price starts at 399 euros.
